Rules Still Being Written to Add Casino Gambling in Nebraska
Nebraska voters allow casino gambling on state horse racing tracks last year, but it will continue for at least a few months before any casinos are approved by the government because regulators are still drafting laws for them.
Tom Sage, the executive director of the United States Racing and Gaming Commission said that process is a slow one and needs time.
The process for the approval of Nebraska casinos is still under construction and a commission has recently received a report from a consultant it has hired to help draft the rules and regulations for playing casinos in the country, according to the Lincoln Journal Star.
Sage told the commissioners that he hoped they would propose gaming rules that would be available soon for the citizens of Nebraska. The meeting for the same had taken place on Friday.
If the commission approves these rules, they will have to be approved by both Governors. Pete Ricketts and Attorney General Doug Peterson before being formally adopted by the Secretary to the State Office.
Therefore the formal application process may not start until early next year. The commission may be very busy once it starts receiving applications. To date, all three horse-licensed horse tracks have announced casino plans and new proposals have been announced for new tracks in Bellevue, Gering, Kimball, Norfolk, North Platte, and York

Official online sports betting became a reality in May 2018. The Supreme Court of the United States America had issued a 6-3 page ruling that the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act under the constitution of the United States is unconstitutional. Fast forward to today, and more than 20 states, in addition to the Colombian Region, have used official sports betting in one area. Many official dominoes will fall, too.
Toward the end of July, the Massachusetts House of Representatives enthusiastically passed a sports betting bill (H. 3977), which came before the Senate for review. Meanwhile, proponents of the California rate of legalization of sports betting at U.S. sports casinos and licensed racing venues are gaining momentum. Taxpayers will have their say at the polling stations in November 2022.
