Leadership Team Announced For Legends Bay Casino in Sparks
The Olympia Gaming has recently announced a unique team to oversee the development and operations in the progress of the Legends Bay Casino, currently under construction at Sparks: Mr. DeCourcy Graham, chief operating officer; Mr. Robin Nedza, chief financial officer; and the Cardinal of the Court, district president.
The 80,000-square-foot Legends Bay Casino exploded this spring at the Legends Outlet shopping mall in Sparks and is expected to open in the summer of 2022.
The Cardinal
The Cardinal, president, and general manager at Casino Fandango, has been appointed regional president leading both Fandango and Legends Bay Casino, both owned by Olympia Companies through its Olympia Gaming arm, according to an August 24 publisher.
A native resident of Reno, Cardinal began his career in the sports industry after graduating from the prestigious University of Nevada. In his 30-year career, he has opened two casinos from the ground up and contributed to computer growth and expansion. The Cardinal has been an integral part of the North Nevada stadium and has served on the board of the Independent Gaming Operators Coalition.
DeCourthy Graham
As COO, Graham will be fully responsible for managing and developing the Legends Bay Casino, as well as all existing and future projects at Olympia Gaming. Graham had previously worked for Olympia Companies in the provinces for 17 years as chief marketing and development officer, which was a very senior position.
Previously, Graham worked in various management departments in the hospitality industry, including MGM Resorts and Las Vegas Sands. Graham was fairly instrumental in the acquisition of the Legends Bay Casino site in 2007 and led the planning and development of two popular casinos and two nearby infrastructure projects.
Robin Nedza
Nedza will oversee financial operations at L Legends Bay and Fandango. Nedza spent the last 20 years with Olympia companies. In addition, Nedza has worked as a certification manager for Arthur Anderson, LLP, working with clients in sports and hospitality, real estate development, technology, and support industries. As a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Financial Executives International, Nedza continues to communicate and keep abreast of developments in the field.
Garry Goett, chairman and CEO of the Olympia Companies in his statement said that We are fortunate to have a fruitful leadership team in charge of Olympia Gaming. The construction of the newly tremendous landscape at Sparks city will be tremendous and unique. This land will provide a variety of entertainment, dining, and entertainment options that are unpopular and impact unlike anything else in North Nevada.”
