The Police Bill (Amendment) of 2021, said existing legislation was not in place to prevent online gambling as it is a mysterious and accessible crime. The bill seeks to ban all betting, betting, gambling of all kinds, except lottery and horse racing.

CM Bassavraj said that the proposed law does not prohibit online games that are strictly in line with the characteristics of skills games. The government, however, will deal with the operator and paid operators who work on hidden opportunity games such as skill games. Skill games that pose a risk of players losing money can also invite action.
Pravin K said congratulations to the law. The government should set up a committee with industry stakeholders and come up with a law banning online betting instead of a bill that would not stand the test of law.
The Minister of Home Affairs Mr. Janendra said that although the police have booked cases and arrested people involved in such activities, these used to get bail easily and start over. The new bill will address these shortcomings and make the case known. The bill also provides for higher penalties and penalties.
Jnanendra said the bill would allow the government to crack down on those involved in illegal gambling.
The Chief Minister of Karnataka State Bommai said the bill was just the beginning of efforts to curb online gambling. From now on, there is no law in place to stop these activities. According to current law, the police should have obtained a court order and even raided gambling establishments.
