CLOSURE OF COASTAL CASINOS DUE TO HURRICANE IDA

Due to Hurricane Ida, all the COAST CASINO ANNOUNCES CLOSURE for the Safety of the guests and the casino team members. The Mississippi Gaming Commission is tracking the movement of Hurricane Ida to protect the employees and the guests. Further notice will be provided about when the casinos can reopen. However, many casinos are already closed to take care of the Safety of the team members and the guests. Some of them are as follows:

Beau Rivage Resort Casino:  The casino will be closed on 28th August due to Hurricane Ida, the gaming floor will be closed by 2 pm, and all the guests have time till noon to check out the casino.  The BMW summer series giveaway drawing is being postponed and has been rescheduled for 4th September. The Gary Allan show is also suspended for Saturday, October 16th; people who have purchased the ticket for the show will be given new tickets with updated dates in them. Furthermore, the $50,000 Endless Summer slot Tournament has been canceled. The owner says they plan to reopen Beau Rivage on Tuesday, 31 August, at 1 pm.

Palace Casino Resort:  The resort management stated that their primary concern is to ensure the safety and health of the Guests, Associates, and team members of the casino. According to the weather forecast, the storm caused by the Hurricane is primarily going to affect the roads and parking areas near the resort. Therefore, they said they are closing the resort at 8 pm on 28th August; they plan to reopen it on Tuesday morning, August 31st at 8 am and will update further after the storm passes.

Hard Rock Casino Biloxi: Due to Hurricane Ida for the Safety of their guests and employees, they will be closing the casino and the hotel at noon, Saturday, August 28, said their official website.

Treasure Bay Casino: Treasure Bay Casino in Biloxi will be closed at 4 pm on 28th August Saturday.

Silver Slipper Casino: The general manager of the John Ferrucci Decided to play it cool as he says they will evacuate the casino, hotel, and RV Park at 6 pm Saturday 28th August.  He said they hope to re-open the casino back on 31st August Tuesday if everything is clear.

Hurrah’s Gulf Coast: “Hurrah’s Gulf Coast will temporarily suspend hotel and gaming operations beginning at 6 pm, Saturday, August 28. Updates on reopening will be forthcoming. Please take shelter and stay safe,” says the official website of the casino.

Scarlet Pearl Casino:  The casino located in D’Iberville will be close at 6 pm Saturday 28th August.

 The casinos which have high risk may remain close if the conditions get worse. This is the second hurricane faced by the coastal line this year; the first they encountered was in June named Claudette, the tropical storm. 

The gaming Commission has ordered all the casinos near the coastal line to remain close because the tropical weather may affect them. However, the impact of the Hurricane is more on Silver Slipper and Hollywood Gulf coast in Hancock County and the casinos along the beach, which are on the Back Bay rather than the front beach.
