Aristocrat Generated $1.7bn Revenue for H1 20211 min read

Aristocrat Leisure Limited has reported AU$2.2bn ($1.7bn) in operating revenue for the half year that ended on 31 March 2021, a 1% growth year-on-year.

According to the supplier’s report, revenue was driven by strong digital, Americas and ANZ gaming performance. EBITDA was AU$750.3m, a 6% increase from AU$707.6m the previous year.

NPATA was AU$411.6m, a 12% growth from AU$368.1m. The audit of the financial statement was carried out by PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Total gaming revenue from Aristocrat Gaming was AU$1bn, a 14% decline from AU$1.2bn. Segment profit dropped by 13% from AU$560.4m to AU$487.9m. The Americas segment reported revenue of $609.5m, while ANZ revenue was AU$209.5m, almost a 2% increase.

The released statement noted a “strong recovery in gaming driven by market-leading products across key US and ANZ markets; Americas and ANZ segment revenue up in constant currency.”

Aristocrat Digital reported $895.8m in revenue, a 29% increase from $695.5m recorded for the same period last year. Bookings also saw a 29% growth from $697.6m to $899m.

Segment profit was $301.2m, a 52% year-on-year increase compared to $197.6m in 2020. “Significant organic investment continues to drive Lifetime Value (LTV), with User Acquisition (UA) representing 28% of revenue,” said the statement.

Aristocrat is planning to focus on future growth, as “the group enters the second half of the 2021 fiscal year with excellent momentum, flexibility and resilience, and a balance sheet that continues to provide full strategic optionality.”
